  • FWD is the landscape architect for this 17-unit cooperative housing development in the historic Weeks Neighborhood of East Palo Alto.

The new homes will be owned and governed by the residents, providing long-term stability to both residents and the community beyond.

With a rich history of agriculture, the land has been lovingly tended by countless stewards and is still dotted with abundant fruit trees - peach, persimmon, pear, apricot, avocado and more. This cultural history, and the intended future use as spaces of community and connection, are at the center of FWD’s design approach.
